In less than a month, life for Carmen and David Seward changed drastically and rapidly.
David visited the thoracic surgeon on Tuesday, January 19, and there he and his family learned that he had stage 4 lung and liver cancer. It had also metastasized to his bones. He was sent home and by the weekend hospice care was there to provide him comfort.
8 days later on Wednesday, January 27, David passed away.
A hard worker and provider, he lovingly cared for his wife Carmen, 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. David will be deeply missed by many but painfully so by his wife of 53 years. The following days, weeks, months, and years will be challenging for Carmen.
To allow her to deal solely with her grief, we are humbly asking our closest family and friends to assist Carmen during this difficult time by easing financial burdens such as the memorial costs, coverage of immediate bills, and relocation fees that may arise.
We are hoping to raise $15,000 towards helping provide a small level of relief for costs associated with David’s tragic and untimely passing. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you would consider donating to this fund. Any amount given is greatly appreciated and words cannot express our gratitude for the love that you are showing our family.
