Be Teresa Crowley's Beacon of Hope
Let me start by saying that many of us have been through some tough times. Many have
been diagnosed with disease or had surgeries; the same is true of our closest family members,
but Teresa Crowley is not like any of us. Teresa has had repeated physical attacks that have led
to disability. Recurrent hospitalizations, starting with COVID, the deadly delta variant in which
kept Teresa clinging for life on a ventilator for over six weeks, with a slim chance of survival -
she defied statistics. Her ability to speak, think, walk, write and drive were severely impaired.
Yet, Teresa kept on challenging herself; she lived and loved, welcomed a new grandchild, kept
her business afloat and maintained her household.
Unfortunately, Teresa ‘s trials would not end with COVID. New diagnoses of diabetes, heart
attacks and heart disease, congestive heart failure, toe amputations, sepsis, visual impairments
and oxygen support led to seven more hospital stays that included, yes, the ventilator again!
Yes! Even through all of that, she strives to live with love and helping others.
Teresa is one of the kindest, helpful and loving people that I know. Despite all the suffering and
setbacks that she endured; she still tries to help others as she downplays her own handicaps –
Teresa never talks about her health issues. I know that life has been tough for her, and on her end
she tries to meet and exceed every challenge that comes her way – but, Teresa needs your help.
I am asking you to walk a mile in her shoes and feel her pain while wondering how much your
life would have changed in those shoes?
I am asking you to be authentic and gracious, like Teresa, and help her in any way that you can.
It’s time to be her cheerleader instead of sitting on the sidelines, and give her the loving support
both financially and spiritually. A ‘go fund me’ page, after four years of struggle, will help with
the financial burdens that Teresa has incurred.
Let’s be like Teresa: Generous in every aspect of her life.
Thank you and may God bless everyone. Lisa fnp
