It is with a heavy heart, that we mourn the loss of a lifelong friend, a brother, Roberto.  He tragically died doing what he did best, being the hero, saving his son's life from drowning.  As a father, there is no greater honor than giving your own life for your child.

For those who did not know him, Roberto de la Torre, "Ballollo", was a titan with a huge heart and seemingly unending energy and passion, a force of nature to be reckoned with.  Intensely dedicated to his family and friends, at home or at work, selflessly always there for anyone who needed him, no matter how big or small the task. 
Together with his wife Annalie, were raising two young children, one of them with Autism - a challenging condition that requires unending sacrifice and costly attention. A challenge they lovingly accepted. The de la Torre family has lost a loving husband, father, hero and provider.

Our hearts are broken, and I'll miss growing old with him, sharing the stories and adventures of our youth. Although nothing can substitute his loss, we ask you to please honor Roberto by helping Annalie provide for their son Robertito. Es con un gran peso en el corazón, que moramos la pérdida de un amigo de toda la vida, un hermano en espíritu, Roberto.  Murió trágicamente haciendo lo que él hacía mejor, siendo un héroe, salvándole la vida a su hijo.  Como padre, no hay mayor llamado y honor que el dar la vida por la de un hijo.  

Para los que no lo conocieron, Roberto de la Torre o "Ballollo" , era un titán con un enorme corazón.  Todo un caballero con una energía y pasión inigualable.  Intensamente dedicado a su familia y amigos, tanto en el trabajo como en la casa, siempre disponible para dar la mano sin importar lo pedido.  
Junto a su esposa Annalie, vivía una bella familia con dos niños, uno de ellos con Autismo - condición retante de constante sacrificio emocional y económico.  Un reto que ellos aceptaron amorosamente con todo su corazón.  La familia de la Torre ha perdido un esposo, padre, héroe y proveedor sin igual.

Nuestros corazones están destrozados y extrañare inmensamente envejecer junto a él, reviviendo historias y aventuras de nuestra juventud mientras vemos crecer a nuestros hijos.  Aunque nada puede reemplazar su perdida, por favor ayúdenos a honrar la memoria de Roberto, ayudando a Annalie proveer para su hijo Robertito.  Su generosa contribución ira directamente a un fondo educativo al control de Annalie para que el continúe recibiendo el tratamiento y la atención especial que el necesita para prosperar dentro de su condición.  ¡¡¡De parte de todos nosotros, MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!  #BeAHeroForAHero
