Armoring John Up to Battle Cancer

I remember the first time I saw this cover photo.  If you told me then that this person would end up being like a brother to me I would have laughed and called you crazy.    Though I can definitely say I'm glad you were right.  John ended up being like the brother I never had.  But I never thought I would be writing this today.

I reached out to John via his public Facebook page over 5 years ago to ask questions and praise the costume you see in the cover photo.  It's no easy task to make something this impressive, and I just had to reach out.  Since that day, we've attended events, shared holidays,  and many other personal milestones as friends.

John's a man of many hats. A dad, a husband, a brother, a great friend, a hard worker, an amazing craftsman, a gamer and.... yes.. even sometimes a paladin :) ...

But even the badasses in our lives need help.  In April, John knew something wasn't right and pushed his doctor for a colonoscopy that lead to the finding of an intestinal mass.  Recently, John was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer.  On June 6th the doctors discovered it had already started to metastasize in his liver and he was moved to Stage 4.

John is one of the not-so-fortunate folks that is uninsured.  As almost everyone knows, insurance is extremely costly when not covered by an employer and John puts the needs of his family before his own.   Thankfully, John's case was accepted by Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute so he is in good hands, medically speaking.  

Now it's time to take the fight to cancers' doorstep, so I'm rallying as much help as possible.  The funds donated will be used to cover medical bills, medical expenses and other incidentals that come with the battle ahead.   That's where you come in...
