For the past 8 years my parents have lived in one of the poorest villages in Bali. They have become close friends with local community. Many of you have come to visit my family over there and have met with the local village.
Mum and dad have been buying rice to support the local community as they’re currently struggling to feed themselves due to the impact of the Covid Lockdown on the Balinese economy.
Since the corona virus came to Bali all tourism has closed down. The streets of Kuta, Seminyak, Ubud, Sanur are empty and almost every hotel, restaurant and stores are closed. All of the employees have lost their jobs and have moved back to the villages. These people supported their families in the villages and now that they are back home it means there is no more money. Many people do not have enough food to eat. They can not afford it. There is no help from the government so they must provide for themselves. Many of us have been to Bali and enjoyed the warm welcome of the Balinese. These people need our help now.
My parents and I have started a Rice Drive to fund families in need with rice. This is the main stable of their diet. For just $30 you can help these family starving off hunger through the Covid lockdowns. $30 will buy them 25kg of rice. My parents will distribute the rice directly to the families from their home in Bali which means every dollar you donate will go directly to the food and their will be zero wastage. My parents live in the village of Seraya Barat which is near to Candidasa on the east coast. We currently help a number of the local children pursue their education as their family’s can’t afford the high school fees. It is a rural community time are harder then ever for these people.
We’re so grateful for your help and support. Love to you all ❤️
