BAK Deng Memorial Fund

Bak passed away peacefully yesterday after life support was removed. His family are now able to grieve fully for their unimaginable loss. Bak’s family wish to take him home for burial in South Sudan. Please help us to do that and support the family to pay the costs of coming back home here to their lives in Australia.

Bak Deng AKA Born Again King was tragically hit by a car on Friday the 19th April on Ballarat Rd. He sustained severe head injuries and was on life support until yesterday.

Bak was the much loved son, brother, friend to many, colleague and team mate. He worked tirelessly to support his family. Bak was always been a hard worker and a proud member of the South Sudanese community. His love of music and telling stories through lyrics was always been a passion. His recordings and videos will help keep him alive for all of us who will miss him so much. Bak's positivity, generosity and warmth will always be remembered by those who knew and love him.

This memorial fund has been set up at the request of the many people in the community who wish to offer support to the family who have made the final decision to end life support and put him to rest. All donations will go directly to the immediate family to help ease the financial burden as they face the indescribable grief of losing a young man who means so much to them. Please support Bak's family to pay for the costs of bringing immediate family to be with him and put him to rest.

This memorial fund has been set up with the permission of the family.

Jel Deng Bak's stepbrother will be the recipient of the funds for the family.
