Maternity/Paternity Leave
Donation protected
Hi there, Robert and I have been surprised with a new addition, ETA March 27th, 2015 and we're super excited!
Unfortunately, neither of us has the kind of job that allows for any sort of paid leave. I am a dance teacher and truly love the fact that I get to share my passion with students of all ages. I teach at 5 dance studios in order to be able to make my living teaching dance. It is sometimes a lot of work (I generally work 7 days a week and do a lot of driving between different studios) but it is really rewarding, and I love it. Because I am "part time" at each of my studios, there are no benefits and when this baby comes I basically have to stop working for a couple of months.
Robert works in the hospitality industry as a valet and although he works hard and is great at his job, there are no benefits (so no paid time off at all, even if he gets sick - forget about paternity leave).
Another dancer friend of mine suggested that we start a GoFundMe account in order to be able to give Baby Culp the right start and in order for daddy and baby to be able to bond. So, we're asking for a little help for the first few weeks of being new parents. We would love to be able to cover rent/food/bills/initial expenses for the month of April, and any help that we can get would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for stopping by our page and considering helping us out!
