Baby Fischer’s Story
Last week, my cousin Micah, her fiancé Shuler, and their 18 month old son, Coast had the entire world turned upside down when her one month old baby, Fischer stopped breathing. After 40+ minutes of CPR, doctors were able to get a pulse. Baby Fischer has been on a ventilator since that terrifying moment. He is a fighter, and we know this since he came back to us. Baby Fischer’s team of amazing doctors were able to stabilize him for a MRI. Damage to both hemispheres of the brain occurred (as expected) and the family is well aware of the challenges ahead. We believe in the power of prayer and are desperately praying for a miracle for this beautiful baby boy.
As you can imagine, the family is facing some difficult times ahead. They are currently in Columbia, SC which is about an hour away from their home. I am creating this in hopes that some of the financial burden from medical expenses and personal needs are alleviated since they are both unable to work during this difficult time. Micah stays with the baby day and night. Time away from Baby Fischer is spent with Coast who needs his mommy too. Micah is the strongest person I know.
Micah’s faith in God is also unbelievable. She loves the Lord with all her heart and is an amazing mother to both her precious boys. I love her heart and her beautiful soul. Please pray for her as well. Donations would greatly be appreciated, and if you can’t, that is ok, but please, please pray!
I will provide updates, as soon as I can. Pray for this sweet family and most importantly, Baby Fischer. Thank you!
