Our sister Camille lives in Santa Rosa, California, with her husband John and their two children. In July, Camille was diagnosed with stage three colon cancer. She is only forty-five, and she is otherwise healthy, so the diagnosis was shocking. Camille has been courageous in the face of this life-changing news.
Camille trusts her team of doctors and has already started her treatment plan. She completed her radiation therapy and is now doing nine rounds of chemotherapy. The hope is to shrink the tumor before attempting surgery in January 2022.
Camille is a freelance mount maker (metal worker) working with museums in the Bay Area. Because of her treatments, she will be unable to use the machinery and precision tools needed for her profession. She will not be able to work for some time, so these funds will help support her family's daily living expenses. We are also helping her raise money for things not covered by her insurance: she is seeing a nutritionist who will help with dietary changes, and she hopes to see an acupuncturist as well.
If you are able to offer something, we really appreciate it. It’s a tough time for many of us, so don't worry if a financial contribution is not possible--maybe you can send her a sweet thought or prayer.
