My son Tristan is a 7 year old boy who loves maths at school, does trampolining, tumbling and swimming and has Autism.  He is very intellegent and is trying very hard to navigate this thing we call life.  Unfortunately he has been unable to do this without the help of some medication and loads of therapy including Speech, Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Psychiatry since his diagnosis 4 years ago. 
It has been suggested that a Therapy Dog could provide a calming companion at times of great stress and would be a welcomed addition into our family which consists of my husband (Aspergers) and I (Aspergers and Hyperekplexia plus akin to Cerebral Palsy), Tristan (Autism) and our younger son Declan (Hyperekplexia plus akin to Cerebral Palsy and possible Autism). 
Over the past few months I have been researching Therapy and Assistance dogs for Autism and have found a breeder in New South Wales called Tamaruke Labradoodles, who appear to have the progam of Training and type of Dogs which would suit our family.  I have been able to save the purchase price of a pup (over $2,000) but to get this pup Trained by Tamaruke to a point that it could be successfully introduced into our family is an additional $5,000.
