And just like that... he was gone.

The Avila Family lost Alejandro Avila Ocampo with little warning. He was not yet 48 and passed away suddenly. He is survived by his wife, Lily, and son Alex.
Alex attends UC Davis where he is earning straight A's and Lily works in West Contra Costa Unified School District as a School Community Outreach Worker. As the head of household, Alejandro, provided for his family. Sadly, since he was so young, he was not prepared for the end of his life and left his family without life insurance or savings.
Lily emptied her savings to put a down payment on a Catholic funeral service and burial for Alejandro. Per their son's wishes, Alex wants his father buried near their Richmond home so he can easily visit his father.
The costs for the funeral services and burial are beyond Lily's means and she and Alex need your help. They will use the funds raised to go towards paying for the funeral service, burial, and replenish some of their savings.
The funeral fees are due in two weeks, so your donations are appreciated as soon as possible. Please give what you can and if you are unable to contribute financially, will you please share this fundraiser with others so we are able to spread the word and help the Avila family with their funeral services?
Thank you for supporting my dear friend and colleague, Lily (Lourdes) Avila and her son Alex.
