Help Me Go to My Dream School!
Donazione protetta
For as long as I can remember, it has been my dream to teach. My dream school, Winthrop, is one of the best schools for aspiring teachers in the state of South Carolina. I am infinitely lucky to have been accepted here and to have finished my freshman year with a 3.0 GPA. However, after accounting for the academic scholarships and student loans for this upcoming spring, my family is still short on covering tuition.
In high school, I was an AP student; meaning I took college level classes as young as fourteen. My junior year of high school, I was a Teacher Cadet, which is a dual-credit class that trains aspiring teachers for the classroom. This experience solidified my belief that I truly was meant for leading a classroom. I student taught a seventh grade Communications class, and loved every minute of it. I am still in contact with several of my students nearly four years later. This class also allowed me to graduate with honors. I will be the first in my immediate family to go to college, and the first to be a teacher.
So far at Winthrop, I have been blessed to continue my teaching experiences. In the spring of 2019, I interned at Chester High School for three weeks in a ninth grade Physical Science class. In the fall of 2019, I interned for six weeks at Springfield Middle School in a seventh grade English class, as well as a seventh grade Social Studies class.
Academically, I have been taking as many classes as the school will let me so that I can make the most of my education. I am currently taking the maximum number of credit hours that my school allows sophomores to enroll in, as well as completing my current internship at Springfield. I have passed every class since my first semester with a C+ or higher, and I am proud to say that my current lowest grade is a B. This winter, I will take the PRAXIS Core test, which will allow me to officially enroll in Winthrop’s College of Education so that I can enroll in more complex classes, as well as have more internship opportunities.
This is my true calling in life; I have worked endlessly my entire life to be able to go to college, let alone lead a classroom of my own. Donating today would help cover the cost of my room and board for the remainder of my second year of college, as well as the meal plan all on-campus students are required to have. I am more than willing to buy my own books and supplies, I just need a little extra help covering tuition.
If you donated to my cause, I will be forever grateful. You will be helping me achieve my lifelong dream. With your help, you will be sending a future educator through the necessary training; bettering education for the next generation. If you choose to donate, I would be able to make myself and my family proud. I believe God put me on this earth to become a teacher, and everyone would be helping me follow the path that the Lord has set for me. Thank you so much in advance, and I hope you'll consider helping me!
