As a proud and close-knit community, Rooty Hill Football Club is reaching out today with heavy hearts to ask for your support for one of our own.
We are seeking the support of our wider community, friends, and anyone who can help us stand beside a family who has given so much to others. We have always come together in times of celebration, and now we are coming together in a time of need.
Our beautiful Jennifer Alam is only 37 years old — a loving wife to Joseph and a devoted mother to three gorgeous girls, Airel (9), Evie (7), and baby Iliana, just 7 months old.
In what feels like a moment that has stopped time, Jennifer has been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. A diagnosis no family is ever prepared for, and one that has shaken not only Jennifer and Joseph’s world, but our entire community.
Jennifer and Joseph are not just members of the Rooty Hill Football Club — they are the heart of it. For many years, they have given their time, energy, and kindness to support our club and everyone in it. They have always shown up for others, without hesitation. Now, it’s our turn to show up for them.
Jennifer is the kind of person who gives without expecting anything in return — loving, loyal, and always there when someone needs her. She is a beautiful soul, a devoted mum, and a constant source of strength and kindness.
As Jennifer begins the toughest fight of her life, we want to stand beside her and her family. We want to ease the financial burden that comes with treatment, time away from work, and the everyday costs of raising three young children.
Most importantly, we want Joseph to be able to focus on being by Jennifer’s side and caring for their girls without the added stress of financial pressure.
Our goal is to raise funds to help cover medical expenses, ongoing care, and to provide stability for Jennifer, Joseph, and their three young daughters during this incredibly difficult time.
