This past Sunday, March 16, 2025; Elena Diaz unexpectedly passed away leaving behind a family that loves her and has been left in shock by her untimely passing. She was a beloved aunt, mom, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend to many.

Elena was a strong, loving, independent woman. In March of 2024, Elena was suffering from a multitude of issues and the biggest issue being her sudden loss of vision. Seeing this her daughter Rosario, being the only child out of 4 in the US quit her job to become her caregiver.

Due to Elena’s loss of vision and a spinal injury from 2015 she was unable to walk on her own and needed to rely on a walker, which caused her body to become weak.

In October 2024, Elena had her first eye surgery, which was a success as she could see. She then underwent her second surgery in November of 2024, which was also successful. Once Elena fully recovered from her eye surgery, she began physical therapy in order for her to walk on her own again.

On Sunday, Elena was found in her home unresponsive, and her cause of death is still unknown. Through pain and sadness our family is asking for assistance with fulfilling her last wish which was being buried alongside her father who she lost early as a child and her mother later in her beloved hometown in Jalisco, Mexico.
