Assist in Honoring PawPaw's Final Wishes

On December 17th, my mother had sent a friend out to check on my PawPaw due to the fact that he had not been using his debit cards and his phone had been turned off. He was not reachable for over a week which is unheard of since PawPaw would make it to Mcdonald's at least once a week, sometimes more since he didnt cook much. My mother's friend had made contact with PawPaw and told him that we were worried about him and he needed to charge his phone and call us. He mentioned that he had been sick recently, but we were not aware of the severity as he has been sick for years with recurring headaches and issues with his spine and neck, but nothing ever stopped him from getting around and making sure he made the best of each day.

A week later still not having heard from PawPaw and his phone still being off, we sent the Nolensville Police Department over to his house for a wellness check and had been informed that he had passed away in his bed. The loss of my PawPaw has been a heavy load to bare and my mother is scrambling around trying to get everything done as far as burial/memorial costs as well as getting all of his accounts in order.

I am making this page on behalf of my mother in hopes that we could raise money to aid in getting my PawPaw cremated like he wanted, and cover the unexpected travel costs, pay the property taxes on my PawPaw’s property and cover the cleaning costs to dispose of all the biohazard furniture in the house as well. My PawPaw has been transferred to the Crematorium and we are running on borrowed time to get him cremated and settle his accounts that are due. My mother is in Tennessee right now at my PawPaws trying to get the place cleaned up and have the biohazard items disposed of as well as handle his will and property that he left behind. My PawPaw did not have a life insurance policy or anything to cover burial/memorial costs and he was barely getting by and was unable to work because of his health.

My PawPaw has worked since he was in the 4th grade, he was never able to be a kid and he was forced to grow up very fast as his mother forced him to work at a young age. Granted, my PawPaw was a wonderful man despite all his health conditions and always had a smile on his face, even if he was in pain. He loved to ride his bicycles with us when we were kids and he used to do this trick where he would ride the bike backwards and i always thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I am reaching out in a time of desperation and sorrow in hopes that we will be able to cremate my PawPaw and get all of his affairs and obligations with his property settled. I am hoping to lift some weight off my mother's shoulders as she has been doing this alone and i know she is a tough woman, but we all need help sometimes and right now we need all the help we can get.

We are grateful for all the help and condolences, this is a tough time for us as a big piece of our family is missing. Thank you.
