Hi, I’m Asha

I’ve been given the opportunity to take part in a three-week photography-related work experience placement in Valencia, Spain, and I’m really excited about it.

Photography is something I truly love. It allows me to be creative, to tell stories, and to see the world in my own way. This placement will give me hands-on experience, help me develop new skills, and let me learn in a real working environment — all while doing something I’m passionate about.

The trip will involve travelling abroad, staying away from home, and managing day-to-day life in a new place. It’s a big step and definitely outside my comfort zone, but it’s one I’m motivated and ready to take on.

Further down the line, it’s important to share that I’m autistic, which means big changes and unfamiliar environments can be challenging at times. This experience will push me in a positive way and help build my confidence, independence, and resilience.
