Artenschutz: Auswilderung Geparde - Protect Africas Wildlife

Liebe Freunde und Tierschützer

Ich bin Monika, in Norddeutschland im Zeichen des Löwen geboren, wohne jetzt im Raum Karlsruhe und setze mich schon seit ich denken kann als Stimme für die Tiere ein.

Besonders die Raubtiere werden oft missverstanden und die Raubkatzen liegen mir sehr am Herzen.

Ich setze mich für Raubkatzen im südlichen Afrika ein und begleite Geparde bei der Auswilderung. Ich unterstütze Wildreservate indem ich u.a. Geparde und Löwen in der Wildnis finde. Aber auch andere Tiere wie Elefanten, Giraffen, Schuppentiere gibt es für mich immer wieder mal zu monitoren. Meine Beobachtungen und den Aufenthaltsort der Tiere dokumentiere ich durch Fotos und berichte an das Reservats Management.

In den Naturschutzgebieten arbeite ich eng zusammen mit den lokalen Rangern. Die Hauptaufgabe der Wildhüter ist es, zu patrollieren und Wilderer aufzuspüren bzw durch ihre Präsenz Wilderer abzuschrecken. Diesen Menschen helfe ich durch Bücher, Sonnenbrillen und Elektromaterial, das ich mitbringe.

Für diese Projekte werden immer wieder neue Wildkameras gebraucht, sowie SD Karten, Akkus und Festplatten. Dies kann ich durch eure Unterstützung kaufen und mitnehmen, weil es in diesen Ländern schwer zu bekommen ist oder einfach dort wesentlich teurer und von minderer Qualität ist.

Ich bin in regelmäßigem Kontakt mit Menschen, die sich für die Arterhaltung und bedrohte Tierarten einsetzen. So werden Reservate und Geparde gefunden und zusammen gebracht um die Gene zu verbreiten und die Geparde zu erhalten.

Für 2025 plane ich ein Projekt in Mosambik (im Gebiet des Zambesi River) zu begleiten sowie ein Projekt in Südafrika (im Ost-Kap).

Help Me Protect Africa’s Wildlife – Especially Big Cats

Dear friends, animal lovers, and supporters of wildlife conservation,

My name is Monika. Born in Northern Germany under the sign of Leo, I’ve always felt a deep connection to animals—especially predators like cheetahs and lions, who are often misunderstood. Today, I live near Karlsruhe, Germany, and dedicate my life to being a voice for the voiceless.

For years, I’ve been working on the ground in southern Africa to support wildlife conservation. I assist cheetahs during their reintroduction into the wild, track lions, and monitor elephants, giraffes, and even endangered pangolins. I document my observations and report them to reserve management to support better protection strategies.

I work hand in hand with local rangers who patrol nature reserves to stop poaching. These dedicated guardians often lack even the most basic equipment. That’s why I bring books, sunglasses, tools, and electrical supplies with me—small things that make a big difference.

Your donation helps me continue this work.

In particular, I urgently need to purchase and transport:

• Wildlife/trail cameras

• SD cards and batteries

• External hard drives

These items are either hard to get locally or too expensive and poor in quality. With your support, I can provide reserves with the tools they need to protect endangered species.

What’s Next in 2025?

I’m planning to support two major projects:

• A conservation mission in Mozambique (Zambezi River region)

• A cheetah project in South Africa (Eastern Cape)

I am also part of a network that connects reserves and conservationists to help ensure genetic diversity among cheetahs, a key factor in their survival.
