Un sueño de casi 20 años: Representar a México en una competencia internacional. En este caso, será en el próximo Campeonato Mundial de Yoga (Italia, 2026).

Todo comenzó en 2007. Desde entonces la yoga ha sido mi refugio y mi maestra. La vida me alejó de ella por un tiempo —una mudanza, la pandemia, y demás —, pero hace un par de años algo me llamó de vuelta… Y no lo dudé. Aquellos que saben dicen “Uno no llega a la yoga; la yoga llega a ti”. ¿Y si éste es tu llamado para que te acerques a este mundo maravilloso”?

Entre atletas y maestros que se dedican de tiempo completo a esta disciplina, yo soy uno de esos que practica meramente por pasión y “por amor al arte”. Aun así, mi meta es ir a competir representando a México con mucho orgullo. Sin duda será uno de los logros más importantes de mi vida hasta ahora.

Más allá de hacer esto acerca de mí, quiero que esto se trate de algo más grande. Que a ti te sirva como un recordatorio de que nunca es tarde para perseguir tus propios sueños. Que sea una fuente de inspiración sobre cómo cumplir más años no significa abandonar ideas y metas en el cajón. ¡Todo lo contrario!

A diferencia de deportes con mayor impacto/cobertura, los yoguis de alto rendimiento debemos cubrir nuestros gastos por cuenta propia y sin ningún apoyo gubernamental. Los fondos serán destinados para cubrir una parte de los costos asociados a participar en un Mundial e incluyen:

No suelo pedir ayuda ni mostrarme vulnerable. Sin embargo, en este mes de mi cumpleaños estoy también intentando operar de forma distinta. En lugar de un regalo físico, te invito a ser parte de este viaje. Cada aportación, por grande o pequeña que sea, es un granito de arena que acercará este sueño a convertirse en una realidad.

A dream almost 20 years in the making: To represent my country in an international competition. In this case, on the next World Yoga Championship (Italy, 2026).

It all started in 2007. Since then, yoga has been my refuge and my mentor. Life took it away for a while - work, the pandemic, etc - yet a couple of years ago something called me back to it… And I never looked back. Those who know say “once a yogi, always a yogi”.

Among athletes and teachers who dedicate themselves full time to this discipline, I am one of those who practices merely out of love and passion. Rest assured that to compete on a global stage representing my country will turn this into one of the greatest achievements of my life so far.

More than making it all about me, I would love to turn it into something bigger: A reminder FOR YOU on how it's never too late to pursuit your dreams. May it turn into a source for inspiration on how getting older needs not to mean merely storing YOUR OWN ideas and goals in the drawer. Go get’em!

Opposed to other sports that have greater impact and draw more attention, competitive yogis cover the expenses associated to this kind of events on their own and without any government of college support. Funds will be allocated to cover a portion of these items, inclusive of:
