APLINGTON SWIMMING POOL FUNDRAISER

DONATE to the APLINGTON POOL FUNDRAISER! All donations go to funding a NEW community pool for the City of Aplington, Iowa. Our existing pool was built in 1976 (see pic above). After 47 years of fun in the sun, 2023 was the last season it was allowed to open. Due to structural and safety issues, the pool was permanently closed on July 30, 2023 - it will not reopen. If we are unable to raise enough funds for this project, Aplington will no longer have a pool for our community to enjoy.

The Aplington Pool Committee has been working hard to raise funds, requesting donations, submitting grant applications, and hosting fundraising events. To date, the Commitee has raised $401,000.00.

The NEW facility will feature a larger pool with zero depth entry, a new mechanical building with new mechanical equipment, and a new pool house. Pending funding we hope to break ground in the spring of 2024! (80% of goal must be raised to break ground).
