Apartment Fire in Abbotsford
Donation protected
On Tuesday May 3rd, at 6:00am, a fire broke out at our apartment building on Cardinal Ave in Abbotsford. The fire burned all day and into the evening, leaving our unit completely destroyed. My tenant was woken up by the panic of the fire alarm and ran outside as fast as she could. Thanks to the heroic efforts of the Mission, Langley and Abbotsford fire departments, they were able to make it back inside to save her beloved cat. Unfortunately it looks like the rest of the apartment and all her earthly belongings have been completely destroyed. As a result of this unbelievably traumatic event for all involved, I have now lost the ability to pay the mortgage and strata fees which persist, even with no apartment or rebuild completion date in sight. I have decided to give up the place that I live so my tenant will not be displaced and we are accepting donations. Any little bit would go a long way.
Thank you,
