Amber Curry Letson: Support thru Cancer & Surgery

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Hearts,

Life can be incredibly challenging, and it's during these times that we discover the strength we never knew we had. Our friends Amber Curry Letson and Mattheau Letson are a testament to this strength, and we are reaching out to you today to share their story and ask for your support.
Amber and Mattheau are dedicated members of IATSE Local 484, Amber as a Craft Service professional and Mattheu as an Electrician. They are also the proud parents of a 15 year old son, Reagan and a 6-month-old son, Baker. During this unprecedented time of little work due to the WGA and SAG/AFTRA Strikes, they have had even more challenges than most.

Their world was turned upside down when Amber experienced a tragic accident on a set in Terlingua, leading to a severe hand injury that after 23 surgeries will now require amputation of 2 fingers and part of her hand.. Despite the challenges of this life-altering event, this year Amber and Mattheau welcomed the birth of their son, Baker into their lives, only to be faced with another devastating blow. Amber was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer shortly after giving birth, which led to a complete hysterectomy, taking away the possibility of future children.
After agressively treating her cancer with chemotherapy and radiation, the family faces yet another uphill battle as Amber has been diagnosed with breast cancer, necessitating a double mastectomy in addition to other therapies. Their journey has been marked by physical pain, emotional turmoil, and relentless medical bills.

Amber and Mattheau have shown unwavering determination, resilience, and an incredible commitment to their family, even in the face of unimaginable adversity. However, the financial burden of medical expenses, along with the challenges of caring for their children during this time, has become a heavy load to bear.
We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to rally around Amber, Mattheau, Reagan and little Baker and provide them with the financial support they need during these trying times. Your contribution will allow them to focus on Amber's recovery, both physically and emotionally, without the additional burden of mounting medical bills.
Here's how you can make a difference:
1. **Donate:** Every contribution, no matter how small, will have a significant impact. Your generosity will directly contribute to Amber's medical treatments, recovery, and the well-being of their family.
2. **Share:** Please spread the word! Share this campaign on social media, email, and any other platforms to increase its reach. The more people who know Amber and Mattheau's story, the more we can collectively make a difference.
3. **Send Love and Encouragement:** Leave a message of support for this brave family. Your words of encouragement will lift their spirits and remind them that they are not alone on this journey.

Amber and Mattheau have always been the first to lend a hand to those in need, and now it's our turn to extend our hands and hearts to them. Let's come together as a community to support this remarkable family in their fight against adversity.
Thank you for being a beacon of hope in Amber and Mattheau's lives.

With love and gratitude,

Susan McGill, Friend and Union Sister to Amber & Mattheau
