Altadena Fires: Aid for the Ordonez Family.
Donation protected
My heart is with my Altadena community. I was raised here. Went to Edison which caught on fire. I went to Eliot which caught on fire. My brother went to Franklin which burned down almost completely. The restaurants like Foxys, the Red Hen and Everest I frequently went to for grilled cheese sandos, blueberry French toast or fish and chips is burnt down. The infamous bunny museum I never knew existed until I was adult burnt down. ALDI grocery store I used to work during Covid-19 at has burnt down. The people I grew up with, newer neighbors, and families all over my community have been through a terrible time. I thank Lord for providing His love, his strength, His guidance, His comfort and His ability to open our hearts to one another. I pray that you can help those you can in need.
My brother Owens, Candice Jones and I (Oliver) were able to evacuate my elderly parents Willie and Debra at 3am with the uncertainty of even coming back to a home. We among countless others are unable to come back to a city that is secured tightly with national guardsmen, with fires still raging, air quality at its poorest and ash that can be extremely toxic with contact of skin. We are beyond grateful to know at this time are house still standing with minimal damage from Mother Nature. I write to you all to help my family get back on their feet from this horrific event.
Any amount donated will be humbly received. We thank God for you and those who have shown tremendous support to us and the families affected in this time. We pray for your safety and we hope this event brings you closer to your own family, neighbors and community.
God bless!
