For nearly two decades, the All My Relations (AMR) Women's Basketball team has been a sanctuary for women in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, fostering community involvement. Comprising 14 young Aboriginal women from diverse backgrounds and nations, along with approximately 40 alumni, the team extends its influence beyond geographical boundaries. The players, aged 17 to 40, include single mothers and post-secondary students, all united by a shared commitment to championing sports and healthy living.

In the realm of basketball, they internalize the lesson that practice determines performance, and in their lives, they aspire to embody the positive change they wish to see in their communities. This transcends the court, as they actively volunteer, mentor youth, teach sports, and contribute to community well-being in various ways.

Currently, we are fervently raising funds for the upcoming historical All Native Basketball Tournament, an event integral to our team's journey. The financial goal to participate in this significant tournament is $25,000. This financial support will not only enable our team to partake in the tournament but also contribute to the broader narrative of empowering women through sports.
