Alexis Robles Torres

I'm saddened writing this in memory of my loving mother Alexis also known as Nena and Cucusa. My family lost a very special person suddenly and unexpectedly on Christmas Day. I would like to think that she passed away on a very special day, the birth of Jesus Christ. If you knew my Mom you would know how important God was to her, she would pray every day that God gave her the strength and the will to continue blessing her and her family with love, health, peace and happiness. She left me and my brothers at a very early stage of our lives 28, 24 and 16 and we still needed her unconditional love, advice and guidance. My Mom faced a lot of complications, childhood trauma and struggles in her life, but she did everything with grace. If you knew my Mom you would know how happy she always was even when she was hurting inside. She was a true definition of "The Life of the party," she loved dancing, singing and her wine. My mother was a phenomenal mother, sister, daughter, friend, and aunt. To know her was to LOVE her. She was selfless, generous, and would give the shirt of her back to anyone. She was unapologetically her and would give it to you raw. She was the definition of an Alpha woman and there was nothing she couldn't do by herself. Family has always been the most important thing to her, she loved me and my brothers unconditionally. Her only wish was to see me and my brothers succeed, which is why she moved to North Carolina from New Jersey. She always counted on me to take care of my brothers when she passed away and I will not let her down. My only wish is to make sure my brothers have a secure place to live and are financially stable in NC, so my little brother Alexier can continue his football dreams that she dreamt of seeing him accomplish. I'll also like for her to be celebrated properly without thinking of the unexpected financial burden that comes with the passing of a loved one. My Mom always told me if she ever passed to celebrate her with family, friends, and loved ones with good music and good vibes. Mom, you are terribly missed and so so loved by many. We will never be the same without you. You are finally at peace and no longer suffering in this cruel world, my only peace of mind.
