Alexis and Ethan

Help me help them.   I have know Alexis for most of her life.  However, words from me cannot do her situation justice.  Below are the words from her husband and mother.

From Ethan:  The love of my life just received a prognosis of a month or two left to live. Alexis Makenzie Young, I will always love you. I will be here with you for every tear, every laugh, and every night. I promise I will find you again one day, even if I have to build us an afterlife. Our two short years together will echo throughout the rest of my life. I love you my darlin, my little raccoon.

From her mother:  My oldest child, who is just 27, and recently married in June is fighting for her life.

Alexis’s story:  She’s a six grade science teacher. In 2010 she was diagnosed bipolar and was in and out of the hospital 10 times in five years battling her issues with bipolar. However, After five years, in 2015 she received her associates degree. She then moved on to a local university and finished her junior and senior year to become a science teacher. All she ever wanted to be was a teacher. The beginning of her second year, last November she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After having a seven hour brain biopsy they determined it was cancerous. She began chemo and radiation through the holidays last year.  She continued on with chemo in the spring through the summer while she continued to teach. Even though she had bouts of sickness from the Chemo, she still went and taught her students. She worked so hard to become a teacher, battling many obstacles one being bipolar, but she achieved it. She even coached the cross country team at the junior high this year.  Nowonly two years of teaching it looks like her dreams of teaching has come to an end. As well as many other dreams that she had in her life. As a mom, all I want is to give her more life, a chance to experience more things, share her enthusiasm for life and continue to impact little people’s minds.
