Hi! I’m Beau. I’m Trans/non-binary. Most of you probably know me as the adventurous, sarcastic, sometimes elusive, and down-for-anything friend that makes the best and weirdest decisions at times. This coming winter, I will be making one of those best decisions of my life to go ahead with a life-altering gender-affirming surgery that will take most of next year to complete and heal.

This surgery will involve 5-6 months of healing time altogether over the course of three different surgeries, which will all hopefully take place next year. This is a very intensive recovery process, and because of that, I’ve decided to bite the bullet and create a little fund to cushion my worries around care, bills, and whatever financial insurance surprises will occur.

On top of alleviating my financial burden from this ordeal, I also want to pay my caretaker a proper wage for the DEEP care/labor I will need for 3-4 weeks through recovery (2 weeks is the minimum, according to surgeon protocols). This amount will also need to cover the cost of food + travel.

The breakdown for recovery would be…

$5,875 = $235/day (25ish days)

$600 = travel

$500 = food

$2000 = rent

$1025 = Unexpected bills/treats

All of you that know me know I’m pretty damn happy with anything you can give, and if you don’t have the means, then a cute note while I’m healing will also definitely suffice.
