Aid Sunny Point Cafe Workers Post-Hurricane Helene
Donation protected

Hi there! My name is Cristina Pettineo. I've worked for Sunny Point Cafe for over 2 years.
After Hurricane Helene, our wonderful staff and friends here at work were left without wages for about three weeks. As a food and beverage worker, I know how hard and rewarding it is to feed people day in and day out. Everyone here at Sunny Point is a true team member and does their very best daily to make sure everyone is full :) I love the crew I work with, I just want to make sure we all can get by with the disaster that just recently plagued WNC. Hurricane Helene had left us without work for over 3 weeks. This is not my cup of tea to raise a campaign fund like this for everyone to see. Relief was hard to come by after the storm, and I know any little bit will help us get back to normalcy. The goal is to distribute all funds evenly between back of house, front of house, and the bakery next door. We love our neighbors and people we get to see every day here on Haywood Road :) A little share goes a long way for my friends and me! I'm so proud of how the community has come together to get Asheville back on track! We wouldn't trade this community for anything.
I love and adore my family here at Sunny Point. All we want to make sure is that everyone can get that nudge of help we all need. This is for the staff to recover from the lost wages that we all experienced and continue to face up ahead. Thank you all for reading this far! WNC is a beautiful community where we've all lifted each other up during this awful tragedy that afflicted these mountains. Love you all, and thank you so much for being Asheville :) We’re so close to making our friends at work load a little easier ! Thank you all for the support❤️
