Aid for Jonnie's Brain Cancer Battle

You never think this can happen to your children. I am the mother (Trish Waters) of this beautiful young woman, Jonnie Waters.

She has been diagnosed with brain cancer.

They were able to remove a portion of her tumor, but there is a large portion they could not remove due to its location. She will need chemo and radiation for one year. This will possibly stop it from growing for maybe 5-10 years at best. She has brain damage as it was diagnosed to have been present and growing for the past two years. Jonnie cannot work or drive and more than likely will never do these things again. The cancer has also affected her memory, logical thinking, and her ability to sit down and concentrate on anything. She will continue to experience brain seizures which will cause more damage. We are trying to do everything we can to be able to pay for her care during this process and keep her from losing her home that she has worked for and kept her life together as the mother of a now 15-year-old daughter.

She has never asked anyone for anything. She is and always has been a very intelligent, smart, hardworking, successful, determined, stubborn, nose-to-the-grindstone, self-supporting, independent, hardworking mother. She would give you her last $20 if you asked her.

This is something she would never ask for and is not going to be very happy that I have started something like this for her. She has a long road ahead and I felt this was appropriate considering her circumstances.
