Help Abd and His Family Escape Gaza and Rebuild Their Lives

Hello, everyone.

My name is Abd , a Palestinian doctor currently volunteering in the Gaza Strip. As I write this, I am surrounded by the devastation and suffering caused by ongoing conflict. My once-vibrant city has been reduced to rubble, and the challenges we face daily are overwhelming.

From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a surgeon, inspired by the resilience of my community and the profound impact doctors can have on lives. After years of dedication, I completed my medical degree and internship. I am now working tirelessly in an environment where resources are incredibly scarce, and the need is immense. Despite the limited tools and constant fear, I remain committed to making a difference.

My family and I are enduring severe hardship. My brother Shihada is an IT engineer, and my sister Haneen is a final-year computer engineering student. I also have a younger brother in primary school and am responsible for helping my extended family, including two pregnant women and ten babies, the youngest of whom is just one month old. We are currently living in overcrowded shelters, struggling for basic necessities like food, clean water, and medical supplies.

My home in Gaza has been destroyed, and our situation is dire. The only viable solution for our safety is to evacuate to Egypt, but this requires a significant amount of money—up to $6,500 per person, and there are six of us in total.

We are reaching out for help to cover the cost of evacuation and to support our future. Each contribution is not just for our immediate safety but also a step towards achieving our dreams. I aspire to specialize further in surgery, and my siblings need to complete their education.
