This is the Tompkins family. Ben is a board game-loving construction manager with a quick sense of humor and a hefty sweet tooth. Noemi is an RN at Lakeland Regional Hospital who writes and plays beautiful music and is the first person to give Ben a run for his money in all those board games. They met in college, and they have been married since 2017. They are the friends you turn to in a crisis, and they show love to their community in a way that is beautiful, selfless, and overwhelming. They have an 18-month-old son Lucas, who has a big smile and a bigger heart and who loves cars and bikes and really any vehicle that can make him go faster. Their baby girl is due June 7, 2023.

As they were preparing for their last month before their baby girl's arrival, and celebrating Noemi's graduation with her bachelor's degree, Lucas's routine doctor's appointment ended in words every parent dreads: tumor, cancer, and chemotherapy. After an MRI scan, the doctors found out that Lucas had a large, cancerous tumor (Hepatoblastoma ) on his liver that was approximately 11cmx10cmx8cm in size. By God's grace, the surgeons were able to remove the tumor with a very successful surgery. He is currently recovering from the surgery and will begin chemotherapy on May 22, 2023, to ensure all of the cancer is removed from his body.

This fund will help this precious family with the unexpected medical expenses that come with hospital bills and cancer treatment for their baby boy.
