Adopting Emmye

Adoption for Emmye.

Have you ever wanted and needed something that was within arms reach, but due to circumstances beyond your control, were unable to obtain it?

The love story between Evince and Armina runs deep, and their desire to have a child of their own runs even deeper. Their journey and love story is remarkable and a testament to God’s grace and mercy. As God would see fit, they crossed paths a few years ago and developed a great friendship, which blossomed into a marital union. As with many married couples, they too looked forward to blessing their union with the gift a child.

Together as a team, they’ve gone through the storm of unsuccessfully having their baby. After a few failed attempts with IVF procedures, they are still faithful to God’s promises and have trusted him at his word. As many couples out there know, the journey of trying to have a baby can seriously take a toll on both individuals involved. Often times it may be physical, emotional and spiritual. Well, their determination has not gone unnoticed. Recently they received news that the opportunity to become parents together is more attainable than they thought. A distant relative in the homeland of Armina’s family, Liberia, recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Emmye Aniyah! Her birth Mother is unable to care for her and therefore has sought for a loving and stable home for her sweet baby Emmye. This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for Evince and Armina. This is their “light at the end of the tunnel” moment. After carefully completing all of the legwork involved in the adoption process, they have successfully adopted Emmye through the Liberian government. The hard part isn’t over. They must now get through the United States government. This is where you can help! In order for them to bring home their new baby girl Emmye, they need $20,800.00 (breakdown below) to cover the legal fees that the U.S. requires for completing this adoption. Currently, Emmye is legally adopted by them, but they cannot get her unless they complete the U.S. portion of this process. Your help and support are greatly needed at this time. Any amount is appreciated and no amount is too small. We thank you in advance for your love and support and contribution to helping them complete their adoption of Emmye Aniyah Domingue!!

In Armina’s words below, please read about their journey. Be blessed!

For the past two years, Evince and I have desired to be parents. We have waited on the Lord and have trusted and prayed. And in the way that God so often does, the Lord is weaving a story of redemption...we get to bring Emmye, 11 weeks old, into a forever home and family! We got the call on Monday,  October 9th, and all of a sudden God's "Not Yet" had become "Now!" This is where our community gets to help with the finances of the adoption and to help make this transition as smooth as we can. This will be a private adoption, so we're hoping to raise $20,800.00

Total Estimated Cost: $20,800.00
Home Study: $1,600
US Program Fee: $2,500
International Fee: $2,200
Adoption Agency Fees: $13,000
Liberia Adoption Fees: $1,500

Here is our story and our amazing testimony of God's love, even in our brokenness.

We have been dealing with the dreadful condition called Infertility. Infertility refers to an inability to conceive naturally. Two opinions later...I've been diagnosed with "unexplained infertility." I've had one failed IVF and several other failed least restrictive procedures but remain optimistic and hopeful. In my research, I found out that infertility strikes one in eight American couples. This statistics brought relief but then also caused some sadness. IF one in every eight couples suffers from infertility than surely I MUST know a few couples/ women who like me are traveling down this same path or have traveled. Some of you have had GREAT SUCCESS with the help of doctors and have conceived and delivered beautiful bouncy baby/ies (miracles from God). But then it hit me it's like in this way...  There is shame associated with Infertility for many reasons. This explains some of the why are so many of us hiding this struggle from our friends and family? I and many couples/ women have been and are ashamed of this condition. The emotions associated with this condition is high and with every cycle I had been scared, hoping for joy but preparing for heartbreak all at the same time! This is a faith journey for both of us and we will end with a picture of us and our baby on US soil. Rejoice in the " I believe God" on this.

My scripture Roman 8:24. "Romans 8:24-25New International Version (NIV) 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? 25 But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently." Oh! I just shouted right here! Until next week.

Please pray for wisdom, peace, and love to abound during this time, and please give what you can.
