Adopting Baby Argo!

Donation protected
Chris and Courtney always thought they would have biological children of their own. They learned that was not going to be possible after infertility struggles. So, 6 1/2 years ago they embarked on an adoption journey and were blessed with the adoption of their beautiful daughter Evie.

Now, they are embarking on that journey again to welcome another child into their family. This decision has been on their hearts and minds for some time. Chris and Court have prayed over this next step for their family for months and during this time of quarantine and shelter in place it became more and more apparent to them that this was the best decision for their family.

Evie, now almost 7, has wished and begged for a sibling for years. Courtney will tell you that Evie was just not made to be an only child, she was made to be a big sister. Chris and Court have always known they would eventually have more children, when they told Evie that they had made the decision to adopt again she was so excited and has asked every morning since "any news on a baby yet?"

The Argo family is one of a kind. Chris and Court have to be two of the kindest and loving people I have ever met, and Evie, well as soon as you meet her you can see the sweet, fun loving, little girl that she is. In reality, it isn't just Evie that wasn't made to be an only child, it is the Argo family that was not made to be an only child family.

I asked Court to share with me some of her thoughts as she starts this adoption journey for a second  time.
"We are so fortunate to have been able to adopt 6 1/2 years ago in Tennessee. Evie came to us at 5 days old and it was love at first sight. She has been such a joy and truly the love we have for her birthparents is immeasurable. Understanding the love they must have had for her to give us this gift I hold so very dear.

During the last 6 months of quarantine she really struggled being an only child. She didn't understand why all her friends got to have brothers and sisters and she didn't , there have been so many tearful conversations.

We are so very thankful for the love and support we have been given upon announcing this news. We are surrounded by the very best family and friends anyone could possibly ask for. Please continue to pray for us as we start this journey. Please pray for our future baby and birthparents as they make the difficult decision to choose adoption."

After months of discussing and praying, the Argos have decided to trust in their faith and what they feel led to do. They have engaged with an adoption consultant and are embarking on this journey again. They know too well the process is exciting and scary, unpredictable and expensive, and yet so joyous and life changing. They have not wasted any time in preparing and have set up community garage sales to fundraise since there is no way to know how quickly they will be chosen by birthparents. Little Miss Evie is also ready to host her very own drink and snack stand at the garage sale!

Please consider supporting this fund to help The Argo Family with adoption expenses so they can bring home Baby Argo and Evie can finally be the big sister she has dreamed of being. Also, please join us in prayer for this sweet family and as Court asked please pray for the baby and birthparents. The gift of family through adoption is an incredibly hard, courageous, and loving decision.
