Thomas's fight continues

Hello friends and family near and far .
For those that don't know , our brother Thomas McClanahan has been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer . As with any family , it was a shock and nothing anyone expects for a very healthy and active person. But as we also all know cancer doesn't care who you are .
Currently Thomas is waiting for a marrow match and hopeful one will be found very soon. Once there is a match Thomas and his wife Aubyn will have to stay in and near Dallas Medical City for up to 60 days . That means Aubyn will not be working and living out of town for around 2 months.
Thomas has be undergoing various treatments and not been working . He is starting to get very low on energy and his numbers are dropping.
They have a sweet God loving daughter , Zayna , that is in her senior year at Van High School. So as you can imagine a lot is going on in this sweet girl's life .
This is not a family that would ever in a million years ask for any kind of handout but they could sure use some help now and in the coming months .
Please know 100% of any funds raised will go to Thomas and his family . Anyone that knows Thomas , knows he is a God loving man that loves his friends , family . He graduated from Van in 1986 and of course our whole family are Van Vandals . If you have lived in the area , I am sure you have ran across a McClanahan or two or three.
P.s. if you feel led to donate beyond the goal , Thomas will be recovering after the transplant for about 1 year until he will be released to work again . Everyone has been so loving and generous.
We thank you
Susan , Mandy & Chase.
Newest update. Whew , I dont think any of us knew how up and down and back and forth this journey would be. As of 02/07/2024 Thomas is at Medical City Dallas . He has been there just over a week getting in hospital Chemo. Meaning he cant leave the hospital floor. He just finished 5 days and will remain there about 5 more to get another biopsy then still remain in hospital until that comes back. Once results are in he may go home about a week and then start the transplant . ( he has matches). Or he may have to go through another in hospital round of chemo.
He is getting a bit restless and docs say he will start possibly feeling the side effects very soon. And he has baseball caps on standby. Needless to say this is taking a bit longer than anticipated . Aubyn has been staying with him and Zayna has a super brother and sister in law that packed up and came to stay with her as she finishes up her senior year. Please continue prayers and feel free to add Thomas, Aubyn and Zayna to your prayer requests at church.
