Help Support Aaron, Michelle & Their Three Boys

Our beautiful son, Aaron, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 aggressive oesophageal cancer, which has also spread to his liver.

This devastating news has come completely out of the blue and has turned Aaron, Michelle and their three young boys’ lives upside down.

Aaron is a hardworking father who has always worked hard to provide for his family. He and his partner Michelle have three beautiful boys — 10 years old, 4 years old, and nearly 2 years old.

Aaron is due to begin chemotherapy and immunotherapy next week. The weeks ahead will be incredibly challenging, with countless medical appointments, tests and treatments. Unfortunately, Aaron now has to stop working full-time while he undergoes treatment, and Michelle has also had to significantly reduce her working hours so she can be there for Aaron and care for their boys.

Alongside the emotional and physical toll of this diagnosis, there are now enormous financial pressures.

There will be the ongoing costs of Aaron’s medical treatment and appointments, travel back and forth to Melbourne, fuel, rent, utilities, groceries and the everyday costs of raising three young children. The family is also hoping to explore complementary and natural therapies alongside Aaron’s medical treatment, as well as providing him with nutritious, organic foods wherever possible.

Our immediate family is doing everything we can to help take some of the pressure and stress away from Aaron and Michelle, but we know this is going to be a long and difficult journey.

Anyone who knows Aaron knows the kind of person he is. He is the first person to help someone else and would be there for anyone at the drop of a hat. Now, it is Aaron who needs our help.

We are asking family, friends and anyone who feels able to help to please come together and support Aaron, Michelle and their boys through this incredibly difficult time.

A small request for Aaron

At the moment, Aaron is incredibly busy with tests, appointments and preparing for treatment, and he is understandably very tired and overwhelmed.

Please don't bombard him with phone calls. A simple text to let him know you're thinking of him would mean so much. If he doesn't call or message back, please don't take it personally. It is simply a very difficult and exhausting time for him and the whole family.
