Bringing Home Carter & Bailey
Hello All,
As some of you may know by now, my husband and I are opening our home to two young toddlers.
After less than a month of preparation time, as of Thursday June 12th, we will be undertaking the custody of a 5yr old boy and a 3yr old girl from within our family.
These two sweet miracle children were each born out of, and into, a substance abusive life. They do not have the fortune (yet) of knowing a life away from the hardest of drugs.
While we have no previous children of our own, we have gone to the ends of the earth to create a safe, stable, loving, caring, and educational environment in preparation of the children's arrival from Texas to New York. A shock in itself.
It truly takes a village to raise children as it has become so apparent. Unfortunately, as any parent knows, the cost of raising children is more than financially taxing.
Reaching out for help is not something my husband and I take lightly but for the support of bringing these two children out of the harmfully toxic environment in which they are in now, and protecting them from being placed into the foster care system...we ask for your support at any possible level.
