A plea for my dad after 3 recent cancer surgeries
Donazione protetta
Hello! My name is Dyllan Boykin, and my dad, Granger Boykin, is currently fighting lymphoma. He was diagnosed back in early 2019 with skin cancer. After his first surgery was completed the doctor was content saying he had removed the cancer. Shortly after that, my dad noticed a bump under his ear, which required another surgery. We were told after the second surgery that it was lymphoma. This surgery removed 32 lymph nodes. Five months later another bump showed up on my dad’s throat. He then traveled to Kansas City to see an oncologist and had the 3rd surgery removing another 34 lymph nodes. After this surgery, he was told it was stage 4 lymphoma cancer. During this surgery, the oncologist used his left pectoral muscle to cover is neck artery so they could complete radiation after the surgery. He is currently recovering from 8 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation.
While he tried to work as long as he could at his job at the Home Depot, he has not been able to work since October 31st, 2019. Thus putting him in a financially tough situation. My dad is my world and our family is doing everything we can to help him through this time. We would love for him to think a little less about the finances and more on getting through this and kicking cancer. Any amount you can donate would help tremendously, but we understand if you can’t- prayers are what’s most important.
