✨ Help My Sister, Ma Liz Rivera, Heal After Life-Saving Open-Heart Surgery

My name is Ma Lourdes, and I am humbly asking for your support for my sister, Ma Liz Rivera, a loving new mom who is facing one of the hardest moments of her life.

Last May, she gave birth to beautiful twin babies through an emergency cesarean section due to severe pre-eclampsia. As a first-time mother of twins, she has been doing her best to recover while caring for her newborns.

But just five months postpartum, everything changed again.

Ma Liz suddenly experienced severe shortness of breath. What we thought was postpartum exhaustion turned out to be something far more dangerous. After several urgent tests, doctors found a large heart myxoma (a rare cardiac tumor) that required immediate open-heart surgery.

On November 7, 2025, she underwent life-saving surgery.

By God’s grace, she survived. She is now in cardiac rehabilitation, working hard to regain her strength — not just for herself, but for her twins who need their mom every single day.

❤️ Why We Are Asking for Help

While Ma Liz recovers, she is unable to work. Our family is doing everything we can to support her and the babies. We are deeply grateful that AdventHealth covered most of her medical and surgical expenses, but the financial burden of daily life and long-term recovery is still overwhelming.

We are asking for help with:

• Childcare and baby essentials

• Medications and follow-up appointments

• Household and living expenses while she heals
