A mother and daughter both facing cancer while raising a family of six.
At just two weeks old, baby Evelyn was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukaemia). What followed were months of intensive treatment, lengthy hospital stays, and unimaginable uncertainty for her family. After spending the first six months of her life in hospital, Evelyn was finally able to come home and begin life with her parents and siblings.
Just three weeks later, the family received another devastating blow.
Evelyn's mother, Kath, was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.
After enduring six months of fear, hope, and resilience while fighting alongside their baby girl, this young family is now facing another unimaginable battle. Kath’s husband is doing everything he can to support his wife and care for their four children while remaining the family’s sole income earner. Kath is the sort of mother who puts everyone including her children before herself, now she will need the community to help.
We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden of medical expenses, travel costs, household bills, childcare, and lost income so that Kath and her family can focus on treatment, precious family time, and making memories together. Baby Evelyn who is suffering from AML is unable to attend daycare due to immunity concerns at current stage.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will be deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Kath, Evelyn, and their family in your thoughts.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
