A Love Story Across Oceans: Help Us Reunite in Portugal

Hi everyone,

We are Austin and Alexandra, and we'd like to share a story of serendipity, love, and a new chapter we're excited to start together.

It all began on November 18th, 2023, at Pedernales Falls in Texas. I (Austin) was headed there with a friend, while Alexandra and her friend were trying to make their way to the park after an Uber dropped them off miles away from the entrance. With no phone service and no idea how far they were, fate led us to cross paths. We offered them a ride into the park and later, back to to the city.

Alexandra and her friend were visiting from Portugal, only in the U.S. for a short two-month stay. That unexpected encounter turned into a wonderful day spent together at the park. We exchanged numbers and decided to meet up the next day for drinks as a way to thank us for the lift. That night was full of laughs and storytelling, both of which lead to me starting to fall for Alexandra. Two days later we met for lunch and by that time we both knew there was something special developing between us.

As fate would have it, Alexandra left a bag in my car, giving us a perfect reason to meet again. This small twist of destiny allowed us to spend more time together, and we quickly realized we were falling in love. Less than a year later, we are happily married and ready to take the next step in our journey.

Now, we face the challenge of moving to Portugal to begin our married life together. Moving abroad is a big undertaking and can be quite expensive, especially with the costs of visas, flights, and setting up a new home. That's why we're reaching out to you for help.
