I have set this gofundme up in order to try and raise some money to help my terminally ill sister with the costs of her wedding on 16th march 2019 and if there is any spare money afterwards maybe help her have a nice honeymoon too.
In the summer of 2018 my sister, Michelle, found a small lump behind her knee which quickly grew and after testing was confirmed as a very rare and aggressive type of cancer called a sarcoma.
This was removed successfully although the operation left her in great pain and unable to walk very far, despite this she battled on regularly taking the train and underground to the hospital in London from her home near Luton to attend various appointments.
After spending a few months believing she was cancer free, she received a diagnosis two days after Christmas that confirmed that she now has multiple tumours in both lungs and they are inoperable.
Within a matter of months my sister, who I have only had the pleasure of knowing since 2015 due to reasons beyond our control, has went from having the rest of her life to look forward to with her soul mate to possibly not seeing another Christmas
Michelle's partner Dean has been her rock throughout this whole ordeal and proposed to her the day after her diagnosis and given the time critical implications of the diagnosis, I would like my sister and Dean to have the wedding they deserve without any financial worries sullying their remaining time together, be it weeks, months or even years.
Any money raised will be given directly to Michelle and Dean for them to spend in anyway they see fit to make their special day, and their remaining time together, financially worry free.
