A celebration of Jim's life.

Hello, my name is Ed and I am Jim's big brother. From the first day of Jim's diagnosis of schizophrenia, until the day of his passing, Jim was dedicated to living his life as an independent member of this community. Although he accepted his illness for what it was, he would not accept using it as an excuse to limit his zest for life. He was kind, funny, adventurous and believed in the goodness of people. Jim never forgot a face and he always took time to talk to the people he'd encounter during his daily exploration of the city by foot or by bus. Before Jim's illness. he became the father of 2 beautiful girls and the mere mention of them would bring a smile to his face. The onset of schizophrenia took away so much of what made Jim a very special man. But for those of us who knew and loved him, his most important quality never changed. Jim's indomitable ability to light up a room with his smile, and to appreciate the goodness of man. Rest in peace Jim...we love you.
