A Brother In Need, A Brother Indeed

On Saturday May 13th, or Brother Eric Simpson and myself were riding our motorcycles threw Southern California. Having been riding for almost 25 years, we all know that "the unexpected" can happen. This situation involved heavy wind and a general build up of sand and gravel (we were in the desert) as he leaned to his left side during a turn, the gravel made him drift left to right, in which then he fought pure concrete directly into a guard rail system doing about 55mph. Thankfully, this did not kill him, however it did cause some major damage. Flight for life arrived at the bottom of the hill as the geographical location of the accident made it impossible to land. Eric suffered three broken ribs, a collapsed lung, right arm broken in three places, and unfortunately a right leg. (His right leg was broken, right ankle shattered, and a knee cap completely removed from the left leg.) Amputation of the right leg was required. Eric works in a trade where you use your mind and body day in and day out, he is a mentor, a leader, a man that shows the true identity of a man who works with his hands. Not being able to work will be dertrimental to himself and many, many apprentices he mentors and teaches. I know many of you including myself may look and throw a few bucks in here and there on a go fund me. Some more realistic then others. However this is really why the site was brought to. To help other's out in an extremely difficult time. Physically, emotionally and financially. This money is to help transport him home to Denver, pay medical bills, help his Wife out with lodging, living expenses, a new leg and transportation back and forth to San Diego.
