Let's Rally For Our Friend Steve Price!

To know him is to love him! I met Steve while working at RJ Grunts Restaurant in Chicago over 30 years ago and we became instant friends! I know there are many who would say the same. Steve was always there to listen, offer a little honest perspective and above all, make us laugh even, and especially when, we didn't want to!
Post college, Steve found the perfect home at "Grunts" working behind the bar while persuing his passion for writing and acting. His sense of humor, wit and larger than life presence made all of his fellow servers, managers and customers want to spend more time with him, and we did! The majority of his working life has been with the Lettuce Us Entertain You family where he has made many lifelong friendships. Steve has always been one of the brightest, kindest and most talented people in every room, even making his dream of being a contestant on "Jeopardy" come true!
In recent times, Steve's life has changed dramatically. Years back while on a trip with college buddies, his foot was bothering him. He discovered it was due to diabetes. Since then, he has had numerous hospitalizations and serious infections which eventually led to the amputation of both of Steve's legs from the knee down. In addition to all of this hardship, he is now on dialysis 3 days per week due to kidney failure. Steve is currently living in a rehab facility where his level of care is subpar (at best) but his ability to get to a better facility is limited by his financial situation and his current insurance.
Our hope is for Steve to have an easier, more fulfilling and healthier life at a new facility and for him to gain back some of his independence by purchasing a motorized wheelchair. He is currently working on getting back on his feet with his prosthetics, but that is a long, hard road and a wheelchair will go a long way in helping Steve gain more mobility and freedom which are so important to his happiness and day to day functioning.
Here's our chance to show a man who has touched so many lives just how much he means to us. Let's rally for Steve! He needs our love and our help. Please consider supporting this wonderful, special man!
