Help Preserve Local Music Rehearsal Space! X.M.E.S. Rehearsals
To all local musicians, bands and lovers of music,
As you are aware, these having been trying times as of late and many small businesses have been hit hard by the affects of the COVID-19 virus. As musicians, we all know how difficult it can be to find a place to practice our craft. For most of us, gone are the days when we could hang out in our parent's garage or basement and make all the noise we want even if it meant annoying the neighbors.
It has been a longtime dream for small business owner Sean Stoney to open and run a rehearsal studio where musicians and bands of all types could get together and create beautiful music. After finishing work at his full-time day job, Sean opened and runs X.M.E.S. Rehearsals in Menlo Park, CA, a savior for many a band or casual musician looking to hone their skills or prep for their latest, upcoming gig. The studio provides 4 acoustically treated rooms equipped with sound systems and available drum kits and various other instruments and sound equipment for modest rental prices. It is a clean environment that is always stocked with variety of drinks and snacks for clients.
Like so many other small, single owner businesses, X.M.E.S. Rehearsals has been affected by the fledgling economy brought on by the Coronavirus outbreak and needs your help. Your donations will help preserve a location for local musicians to continue to practice and grow.
About Me: My name is Jason Taylor and along with Sean, I'm a local musician and member of the band, Circular Vision. Along with my other bandmates, I wanted to do what I can to help preserve this business and show my appreciation for Sean and what he does. I hope that other musicians and even just lovers of the local music scene will join me and help donate to this worthy cause.
