Seattle WW2 Air Raid Siren Restoration
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Nathan and I am a sophomore in high school in Seattle, Washington. I am currently restoring a WW2 Federal Signal Model 2 civil defense that I received off a pole in North Seattle. After its restoration, this siren will be donated to Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum in Paine Field. This siren represents an extremely important part of Seattle's history that many people don't know about. The restoration of this siren will help teach people about the effects of World War Two and the Cold War in Seattle. After retrieving the siren off a pole in North Seattle with the help of Seattle City Light, it was discovered that the motor was completely seized and did not work. So, after some research, we found out that Eurton Electric in California would be the best place to have our siren restored. Between the cost of shipping and the restoration, it will cost around $1,500. Any money we raise will be used to ship the siren to California and restore the siren. If we raise more than $1,500, the money will all be donated to the Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum which plans on reopening this summer. Thank you so much for checking out my donation page.
Thank you so much, Nathan
