SOMEONE BROKE INTO BRE’S CAR AND STOLE CHRISTMAS
Donation protected
On Friday December 23rd, my girlfriend and I drove up to Washington DC to see BTSM at Echostage and do some video work for supporting acts Al Ross B2B Codd Dubz
After the show, at around 2:30am as we were walking back to our car someone warned us that a bunch of cars got broken into on the street we were heading down. As we approached the car we noticed a bunch of what looked like to be our stuff on the sidewalk. As we got closer, we saw that several windows had been smashed including the rear view window on the trunk.
To add insult to injury, not only did they vandalize the car and took personal belongings, but they took all the Christmas presents my girlfriend bought for her family as we planned on dropping them off at her mothers house on the way home from the show.
We called the 911 & local DC police several times and after being told to “sit tight” for 2-3 hours in 9 degree weather. After we saw several cop cars, fire trucks and ambulances fly by sirens whaling we had a feel g something more severe was happening and we wouldn’t have assistance anytime soon.
At 5am we attempted to make our way back to my girlfriends mother’s house but the single digit weather mixed with no windows on the highway was an unbearable mix. After 10 minutes of freezing on the road we decided to get a motel and I had no choice but to call out of work the next morning due to the situation.
It was truly devastating seeing my girlfriend screaming in anger and then crying in pain knowing she did nothing to deserve it. It ducked ever more knowing how recently she got this new car is and how much time effort and money was spent on purchasing and preparing those gifts. This is why I want to do everything in my power to help and support her in anyway I can and if you’re reading this you can too.
In total, 4 of 6 windows were smashed; Both front, back passenger and trunk. We are estimating $250 for the 3 passenger windows and $750 for the rear window due to the technologies within the glass and the panel being significantly bigger.
Hopefully this is covered with the insurance policy she has but without a police report (which we are in the process of trying to obtain) it may be hard to get insurance to cover it. This is why I chose to start this gofundme campaign with the hopes of being able to help Bre recover from this unfortunate event she didn’t deserve to endure; especially around this joyful time of year.
The total goal of the fundraiser would hopefully cover all repair expenses and an approximate total costs of the stolen gifts to help Bre recover and bounce back.
Thank you for taking the time to read this story and if you can’t help financially, sharing this campaign is free and could go a long way.
