Rubi was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes June 2015. Her fight this last year has been a hard one. Getting shots on a constant basis is more than any child should have to go through. It has become a little better with modern technology. Rubi is a hard sleeper and a hard player and hard headed. We have decided that she should have a "friend" that will be with her to help her realize when her blood sugar is going low and going high, and that her friend will alert us too. (Most important part because Rubi doesn't always wake up to her alarms and doesn't always stop playing when her alarms go off). Please help us to get Rubi a diabetic service dog.
