When people with learning difficulties get over the age of 18 its really hard for them to get any extra funding. When they are over the age of 45 they might not even have their parents around to care for them any more.
The great staff at the Park View Centre in Solihull provide support for those adults by running activities, social events, encouragement to pursue hobbies and making connections within the community with a variety of volunteer placements.
But! To get out and about to do all this they are in desperate need of their own transport.
That's the bit where you come in.
Our goal is to raise thirty thousand pounds. This will get them a new people carrier, with tax, insurance - the whole shbang! Your valued contribution will help fund the purchase of the vehicle which would be used for a range of projects and experiences and enable some of the most vulnerable people living in Solihull to visit areas of life which we take for granted.
My brother 'The Real Neil' Neil Russel in one month is running 3 half Marathons for the Park View Centre Solihull:
Coventry Marathon - March 1st 2015
Long Marston Airfield Marathon - March 14th 2015
Warwick Marathon - March 22nd 2015
THAT'S NEARLY 40 MILES!!! - Sponsor Neil so he can get to the finishing line!
Please give what ever you can. Even £1 can make a difference. If you can't give just sharing the video on Facebook or retweeting on twitter (@ParkViewFund) about the Park View Centre Solihull will help us. Sponsor Neil so that we can get this transport for the people at Park View Centre Solihull.
You can make a difference for adults with differences.
