Music For Haiti

I went to Haiti this summer to watch a Neurosurgeon perform surgeries to relieve infant hydrocephalus in Port Au Prince, Haiti. Many are born with congenital defects as a result of malnourishment and poor prenatal care. As a musician, I took instruments with me for the people to play and listen to while waiting for a loved one to come out of surgery. Close to 100 people gathered around as we started the drum circle, all smiling and involved in the music. The staff at the hospital told me how happy the kids and adults where to play instruments so I decided to donate all the instruments I had brought to the patients in the clinic. I could not stop thinking about the children I left behind and decided to begin a fund to send instruments to the children being treated in Port Au Prince. Please help give back to those in need!
