My dad, Miguel, was first diagnosed with cancer at 49 years old in August of 2013. More specifically, adenocarcinoma- a malignant tumor/s that may affect various organs.
Shortly after diagnosis the fight of numerours surgeries, hospital visits, and radiation began. It was a long year, but a victorious one. In September of 2014, 30+ treatments of radiation left him cancer-free, strong, and smiling.
Recently, we have been confronted with a similar, yet more agressive battle. His cancer has returned and is very present in his lungs. This time around, the cancer has caused a severe cough, headaches, difficulting breathing, and an urgency for treatment.
He will be going through an agressive regimen of chemotherapy. It will involve 3 different medications that will be injected every 2 weeks. Like all other chemotherapy medications, each of these will cost several thousands of dollars; insurance will only cover a fraction of this financial burden.
We know & trust that Mickey has the strength, though God and his loved ones, to fight this fight, but we need your help.
